Micro Farm

The Micro Farm Project is a volunteer-led initiative. Join us to cultivate a thriving garden that feeds and inspires our community!

The Canyon Community Alliance (CCA) Micro Farm Project is a community-driven effort to enhance local food security, promote sustainable agriculture, and bring people together. Situated near the Double Eagle, this micro farm serves as a hub for growing fresh, produce with the intention to be distributed to community members equitably. The project also intends to educate participants on sustainable farming practices suited to our USDA Plant Hardiness Zone (6a-7a).

Under the leadership of a dedicated Program Manager and the support of the CCA Board, the micro farm intends to thrive through the hard work and collaboration of volunteers. Together, we can manage daily farming activities, organize community workshops, and maintain farm infrastructure. From planting and harvesting to soil health management and irrigation, volunteers play a vital role in every aspect of the farm’s success.

The farm will also serve as an educational platform, hosting workshops and events to teach sustainable gardening and healthy eating. With your help, we can ensure the micro farm becomes a beacon of community engagement and resilience.

We’re actively seeking volunteers to join us in making this project a success. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a month, your contribution will have a lasting impact. Get involved today through volunteer@canyoncommunityalliance.org and help us cultivate a healthier, more sustainable future for Valle!
